About this scholarship
High school seniors who reside in or operate a farm within Southwest Georgia Farm Credit's 21-county territory and plan full-time study at a two- or four-year college may apply. Public, private, and home-schooled students are eligible, and Farm Credit membership is not required.
Two awards of $1,500 are available. Preferred fields include agriculture sciences, animal biology, chemistry, business, accounting, finance, communications, and other careers that support rural communities.
Submit a transcript, two recommendations, and a two-page essay. Southwest Georgia Farm Credit offers the scholarship to help sustain agriculture and rural infrastructure across the region it serves.
