About this scholarship
South Carolina high school seniors or early graduates who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and aspire to teach may apply between October 1 and December 1.
Up to 230 fellows receive up to $6,000 per year for four years while completing teacher certification at a Teaching Fellows institution, plus enrichment and mentoring requirements. Fellows agree to teach in a South Carolina public school one year for each year of funding received.
Submit the online application with academic records, references, and documentation of service or work experience. Selection weighs academic achievement, community involvement, and commitment to a teaching career in South Carolina.
