Sonya and Charlotte Wall Award in Opera

Undergraduate or graduate students in the Opera Division at the UBC Vancouver School of Music who demonstrate outstanding vocal abilities may be nominated. Students may receive the award in multiple years.

Awards totaling $16,500 are available annually through a gift from Sonya (B.A. 1984, M.A.S. 2003) and Charlotte Wall. Per-recipient amounts are not fixed. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the head of the Opera Division; for graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is consulted. There is no separate student application.
