About this scholarship
SMUD customers or dependents in the Sacramento service area who are high school seniors, GED holders, or undergraduates with a 3.0+ GPA may apply. Up to 21 scholarships worth up to $4,000 each are awarded annually, with preference for majors relevant to a SMUD career.
Semi-finalists complete an essay contest. Scholarships are not renewable but students may reapply each year if eligible.
