About this scholarship
Entering first-year students at Southern Methodist University are automatically considered for the President's Scholars Program from the strongest applicants. Typical profile signals include exceptional SAT or ACT scores, foreign language proficiency, advanced coursework in math and science, and ranking in the top 10 percent of the high school class.
About 20 to 25 scholars are selected. The award covers full tuition and general fees for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters (or until graduation), with study-abroad support and, for on-campus students, a Campus Community Award toward room and board. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment and at least a 3.3 GPA.
Apply for admission to SMU; consideration is automatic.
The program brings academically gifted students into the SMU community for four years of intellectual engagement.
