About this scholarship
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students at accredited U.S. institutions (including technical and two-year programs) whose projects relate to lake and pond management may apply.
Three scholarships are awarded, with the top award of $3,000. Additional awards of $2,000 and $1,000 go to second- and third-place finalists. Funds are paid directly to students for education or project and research expenses.
Submit a project description with budget, goals, and three references by December 15. Top finalists present at the January SLMP Summit, where final placement is determined in part by presentation.

- Professor Certification (signed) certifying academic info and eligibility
- Two/three references with name, phone, address, email
- Current GPA and year in college/university
- Personal information (name, address, email, phone, DOB, U.S. citizen Y/N)
- Successful applicant must attend the SLMP Summit and present an oral report on research; deadline historically mid-October (Dec 15 deadline listed on current students page); awards 1st $3,000, 2nd $2,
- Top finalists must present at the SLMP Summit; final placement is partly determined by the presentation.
