About this scholarship

Students participating in UBC's Education Abroad Programs at the Vancouver campus are eligible for these scholarships, with preference given to students going to or coming from Hong Kong. Scholarships totalling $14,750 are awarded, and recipients are designated Simon Lee Education Abroad Scholars.

There is no separate application. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Education Abroad Program Advisory Committee in consultation with the Director of Enrolment Services.

The scholarships were endowed by the Simon K.Y. Lee Foundation Ltd. and the Province of British Columbia.
