Shig Kobayashi Memorial Award in Pharmacy

Outstanding students in the UBC Vancouver Entry-to-Practice Pharm.D. program may be nominated for these memorial awards. Preference goes to students who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their community or significant achievement in a team sport.

Awards totalling $2,500 are available annually through a gift from friends and family in memory of Shigeo Shig Kobayashi (1932-2021). No separate application is required; the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences makes recommendations.

Shig (B.Sc. (Pharm.) 1958) was a pharmacist, educator, and passionate advocate for team sports and university education.
