About this scholarship

Outstanding UBC Vancouver Master of Architecture students entering their final year who have demonstrated critical, imaginative engagement with architectural history and its theoretical, social, or cultural considerations may be considered for this scholarship.

The award amount varies. Scholarships are funded through an endowment established by Dr. Sherry McKay.

Recipients are recommended by the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.

Dr. Sherry McKay is an Associate Professor Emerita in the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA), where she taught architectural history and theory. Her research interests included French colonial and post-colonial architecture and West Coast modern architecture.
