About this scholarship

Admitted first-year students at North Carolina State University may apply through Pack ASSIST for the Shelton Scholars Program, a four-year values-based leadership cohort.

Selected scholars receive $7,000 per year in academic scholarship funding plus up to $2,000 per year in enrichment funds for leadership experiences. Three new scholars are selected each year.

Apply by the February 15 deadline for maximum consideration. The program is based on values of honesty, integrity, diversity, compassion, and social responsibility, with renewal contingent on satisfactory academic progress and leadership involvement.
