About this scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who reside or attend school in Shawano or Menominee County, Wisconsin and plan a writing-related postsecondary degree may apply for the Shawano Area Writers Scholarship when the program is offered.

The award is a $2,000 non-renewable scholarship. Applicants submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay on what inspires them to improve their writing skills.
