Shaw Memorial Scholarship

Open to outstanding UBC Vancouver second-year undergraduates who have excelled in any two courses in English, Latin, or Greek and are proceeding to a higher year.

Prize amounts vary from an endowment established by friends of James Curtis Shaw (1861-1907). No separate application; awards are adjudicated by the Faculty of Arts.

Dr. Shaw was a teacher and principal at Vancouver High School and College (now King Edward High School), which was affiliated with McGill University College of British Columbia, now UBC.
