About this scholarship
Open to full-time post-secondary students whose family maintained permanent residency within the J.D. Shatford Memorial Trust geographic boundaries (South Shore Nova Scotia / Hubbards area) during the student's last three years of high school, with continued family residency while receiving funding. Applicants must be 25 or younger at first application and show proof of acceptance at an accredited university, community college, or vocational program.
Annual scholarship grants; the amount varies with Trust income and the applicant pool. Funding is paid to the institution. Undergraduate support is available for up to six years; graduate support for up to ten.
Apply each year through the Trust. Applications received by July 15 receive priority processing.
