About this scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue higher education and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA may apply. Applicants must demonstrate active involvement in celebrating and furthering Hindu Dharma along with academic excellence and community service.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America awards ten Sharda Hindu Scholarships of $2,000 each, disbursed over four years in $500 installments. Annual payments require maintaining the minimum GPA and continued campus involvement in Hindu Dharma activities.

Complete the application form and submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay on the year's specified topic. VHPA launched this national scholarship program in 2022 to support the next generation of Hindu youth.
