SGS Conference Grant – School of Graduate Studies

Full-time University of Toronto graduate students who will actively present their own thesis-related research at an academic conference (in person or virtual) can apply for the SGS Conference Grant.

The grant covers the applicant's minimum conference registration fee. Catalog amount is listed as varies because the value depends on the registration fee. Applicants are encouraged to seek other support for travel and related costs.

Apply through the SGS Forms Tool during an open cycle, with supervisor or advisor approval. International travel requires prior Safety Abroad registration. Master's and PhD students may receive a limited number of grants per degree (typically one in-person and up to two virtual, with an extra in-person allowance for direct-entry or fast-track PhD students).
