About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors or college students pursuing a health-related field may apply for Service League Volunteer Scholarships if they live in the Washington Township Healthcare District (Fremont, Newark, Union City, and part of Hayward), are current Washington Health volunteers, or are in the nursing program at CSU East Bay, Ohlone, or Chabot.
Each award is $1,000 per year and may be renewed for up to three additional years while the student remains in a health-related program with a 2.5 or higher GPA. Submit a completed application, official transcript, and two letters of recommendation. Eligible applicants are interviewed by committee.
