About this scholarship
University of Victoria outstanding entering or continuing undergraduate violinists, violists, cellists, or double bassists may receive this School of Music award based on performance ability. When performance skill is equal, financial need is the deciding factor.
The number and size of awards vary and are set annually by School of Music faculty. Recipients are recommended by the faculty and approved by the Senate Committee on Awards. No application is required.
The fund was started with personal contributions from School of Music faculty and is supplemented by scholarship concerts and other sources.
