About this scholarship
Culturally, ethnically, or racially diverse high school seniors in the Pittsburgh region (including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Westmoreland, and Washington counties) planning to major in journalism, English writing, or communication at an accredited four-year college may apply.
One student receives up to $7,500 per year in scholarship installments, plus a summer internship at Trib Total Media and an offer of full-time employment upon graduation. Applicants need a minimum 3.25 GPA.
Submit a letter of intent, application, transcript, three recommendations, three to five work samples, and complete an interview plus writing exam. Trib Total Media established this award to bring diverse voices into local journalism.
