About this scholarship
Graduating seniors at Palo Alto High School or Gunn High School in California who plan to enroll in college may apply if they show courage, strength of character, and have inspired their peers. Applicants need a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and must be U.S. residents.
Two awards of $1,200 are available. The ideal candidate may have spoken out for what is right in the face of dissent.
The Sandra Pearson Award is administered by Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
