About this scholarship
Outstanding graduate students in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UBC Vancouver may be considered for the Samit and Reshma Sharma Graduate Scholarship in Physics. Preference goes to students who have participated or will participate in research with TRIUMF physicists, and/or students studying particle physics, nuclear physics, materials research, or medical physics.
Scholarships totalling $3,500 are available through an endowment established by the Samit and Reshma Sharma Foundation.
Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
Samit and Reshma established the endowment to celebrate achievements at TRIUMF, one of the world's largest cyclotron particle accelerators, located at UBC.
