SAJA Student Scholarship

Full-time undergraduates majoring in journalism and graduate journalism students at U.S. or Canadian universities who are of South Asian descent, or U.S. students with a demonstrated interest in covering South Asia and the diaspora, may apply for SAJA student scholarships for fall enrollment. International students from listed South Asian countries may also apply. Funding varies and is split among six recipients.

Email a single PDF with a resume, 350-word essay, financial-need statement, and 2-3 clips or writing samples to the SAJA scholarship contact. Recipients are expected to support SAJA events and maintain student membership.
