SAJA Scholarship Program

Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a university in the U.S. or Canada may apply if they are of South Asian descent (including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and South Asian origin from the Caribbean) or demonstrate an interest in covering South Asia and/or the diaspora. Immediate relatives of SAJA board members and judges are ineligible.

Ten recipients each receive a $2,000 award toward tuition and related study costs.

Submit proof of enrollment. SAJA membership is strongly encouraged but not required.
