About this scholarship
High school seniors who are residents of the Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut area may apply regardless of religion, race, color, ancestry, national origin, sex, or disability. Irish ancestry is not required.
One recipient receives $24,000 total ($6,000 per year for four years), renewable while maintaining satisfactory grades and deportment.
Submit an application for committee review. Finalists are interviewed before the award is announced.
The Saint Patrick's Scholarship Fund, founded in 1964, selects recipients based on academic achievement, financial need, extracurricular involvement, and other factors. It is funded by an annual dinner held around St. Patrick's Day.
