About this scholarship

Sahtú-region students pursuing a college diploma, university degree, or minimum two-year certificate in Environmental Studies, Native Studies, or a related field may apply for Ɂehdzo Got'įnę Gots'ę́ Nákedı (Sahtú Renewable Resources Board) scholarships.

Applicants must be a Sahtú beneficiary or an NWT resident who completed the last two years of high school in the Sahtú Settlement Area, hold at least a 70% (B-) average in the last year of full-time study, and be enrolled full-time during the scholarship tenure. Amount varies by year of study (commonly cited as about $2,000 in year 1, $2,500 in year 2, $3,500 in years 3–4, and up to $5,000 per year for graduate study).
