About this scholarship

Outstanding Faculty of Applied Science graduate students studying mining engineering at UBC who demonstrate interest in the study and field of comminution may be considered for the SAG Conference Award Foundation Graduate Award in Mining Engineering.

Awards totalling $25,000 are available annually through a gift from the SAG Conference Award Foundation. Individual award amounts vary.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

The SAG Conference Award Foundation supports advancement of knowledge and education in comminution and related areas, and created this award to encourage the next generation of engineers and researchers in the field.
