About this scholarship
U.S. residents pursuing software, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or a similarly related engineering degree in a U.S. ABET-accredited program may apply for the SAE SmartMobility Evolution Scholarship (also described as the SAE International Mobility Scholarship).
Up to three or more $5,000 awards are granted annually for incoming freshmen through graduate students. Incoming freshmen need at least a 3.75 GPA; incoming sophomores through graduate students need at least a 3.5 GPA. Funds may be used for tuition or other incidental education expenses.
Submit the SAE International scholarship application with two recommendations (one academic, one activity-based), examples of STEM coursework relevant to automotive or mobility industries, and evidence of STEM leadership or service. Extra consideration is noted for automotive industry involvement.
