S. Cyril Maplethorp Memorial Scholarship in Music

Students enrolled in the UBC Vancouver School of Music may be nominated, with preference given to undergraduates.

Scholarships are drawn from a $4,100 endowment established by the Estate of Serge Cyril Maplethorp. Per-recipient amounts are not fixed. Awards are made on the recommendation of the School of Music; for graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate Studies is consulted. There is no separate student application.

Mr. Maplethorp, born in France and educated in England, emigrated to Canada in 1953 and believed in supporting music and musicians at UBC.
