Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts at UBC Vancouver with outstanding achievement in research writing may receive these awards.
Awards totalling $3,650 come from an endowment established by Russ Patrick in 2009, along with matching funds from the Faculty of Arts.
Students submit a research paper of up to 2,000 words in PDF format to arts.awards@ubc.ca, including a nomination or statement of support from a faculty instructor or Undergraduate Journal editorial team. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts Awards Committee.
