Roy Wares Memorial Fellowship in Geological Engineering

Open to domestic graduate students studying geological engineering at UBC Vancouver.

Award amounts vary. Fellowships are funded by an endowment from Kayce White in memory of Roy Wares (1942–2024).

There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Roy Wares had a distinguished career that included serving as an adjudicating member of the BC Securities Commission.
