About this scholarship

Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) students entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of full-time study in any program at Laurentian University who demonstrate financial need may apply. Preference goes to mature-status students.

Up to three students receive $5,000 each. The award may renew automatically twice if funding remains available and the recipient continues to meet eligibility criteria and maintain good academic standing.

Submit a 300-500 word essay on your program, motivation, leadership, and career ambitions, plus a signed recommendation from a professor, band council member, or recent or current employer, to financialaid@laurentian.ca. Successful recipients are encouraged to present to the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar in person or virtually.
