About this scholarship
Applicants who have completed at least the equivalent of two full years (60 credit hours) of post-secondary training in agriculture or a related field with substantive agricultural content may apply. They must be legal residents of Southern Alberta or have lived there for seven of the past ten years (defined counties and municipalities, plus Blood/Kainai and Piikani First Nations). Rotarians, Rotaractors, and their immediate family are ineligible. Selection weighs academic achievement, community service and leadership, and agricultural enterprise or organization involvement such as 4-H.
The scholarship is valued at $10,000. Submit a completed form, a cover letter of 500 words or less, transcripts, resume, and arrange three confidential reference letters, emailed as Word documents to the Rotary contact listed on the Rotary Club of Lethbridge East site. Applicants should also be able to explain how their goals align with Rotary principles.
