Ronald Elder Coastal Silviculture Committee Award

For UBC Vancouver undergraduate students majoring in Forest Management, with preference for students concentrating in silviculture who have demonstrated financial need.

Annual awards funded through a gift from the Coastal Silviculture Committee in memory of Ronald Ron Elder. Award value varies.

Made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry. No separate student application.

Ron Elder graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Forest Management in 1966 and worked in BC as a silviculture forester for over fifty years, training foresters and silviculture workers across the province.
