About this scholarship
Full-time college students (not high school seniors) who are U.S. citizens and residents of an RMMI member state may apply if they are pursuing mining-related engineering or geology degrees with career interest in the mining industry.
Awards of up to $5,000 are available over three years, beginning with a $2,000 initial award that is renewable. Selected students also receive an all-expense-paid trip to the RMMI Annual Meeting.
Apply with an autobiography, three references, and transcripts by March 1.

- Work-experience history
- Three references: include name, address, business and home phone number, company or business name, and years acquainted; attach letters of reference or recommendation
- Work experience: list all past employment with employer's name, address, phone number, supervisor's name, work performed, length of service, and reason for leaving
- Unofficial transcript with current enrollment
- Must be enrolled full-time in a four-year degree program and in good standing
- High school students are not eligible; must be enrolled/attending a college or university full-time
