About this scholarship
Michigan undergraduate or graduate students at a Michigan college or university pursuing local government administration or related coursework may apply. High school students and individuals seeking training to serve in local government roles are also eligible.
One competitive one-time award of up to $1,500 is granted.
Apply with an essay on an important local government issue, a resolution of support from a Michigan township board, and a recommendation from a professor or elected township official. Submit by May 31.

- A copy of a resolution of support from an MTA-member Michigan township board in good standing (resolutions from other entities or individual officials are not sufficient)
