Rob and Bessie Welder Wildlife Foundation's graduate research

Graduate students (M.S. or Ph.D.) with a 3.0+ GPA pursuing wildlife conservation and management research relevant to U.S. conservation, administered through an accredited U.S. institution, may apply. Preferred proposals are scientifically sound and inform biology, habitat conservation, or management decisions.

Fellows working on or near the Welder refuge receive housing, office space, and lab access as available. Monthly stipends are $1,600 for M.S. or $1,800 for Ph.D. fellows under fellowship policies. Applications are due September 1.

Founded in 1956, the Rob and Bessie Welder Wildlife Foundation graduate research fellowship has supported hundreds of fellows across wildlife and related sciences.
