About this scholarship
LGBTQIA+ and nonbinary youth, and their straight and cisgender allies, age 25 or under who live in Virginia and attend or plan to attend a four-year college or university (including graduate school) may apply for the Rise Up Scholarship from the Casa Brumar Foundation.
Awards are up to $1,000 and may be used for tuition, room and board, or books and supplies.
Preference goes to applicants with financial need, community service, and a commitment to inclusive advocacy work.
