Rick White Award

For undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a Statistics degree program at UBC Vancouver who have demonstrated excellence in statistical science through collaboration with investigators in another discipline on a substantial application.

Awards totalling $1,000 are offered annually.

Made on the recommendation of the Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Science, and for graduate students in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. No separate application.

The award honours Rick White (BSc Math 1990, MSc Stats 1992), a longtime consultant and Managing Director of the department's Applied Statistics and Data Science Group, and is supported by the department and the Rick White Memorial Fund.
