About this scholarship

U.S. citizens in full-time graduate programs in the traditional liberal arts, education, or social sciences who intend to teach at the college level may apply for ISI's Richard M. Weaver Graduate Fellowship.

Fellows may receive up to $15,000. The application asks for a 1,250- to 2,500-word philosophical essay on the relationship between liberal education and a free society; a five- to ten-page personal, philosophical, and professional autobiography; a five- to ten-page academic writing sample; a one-page CV; unofficial transcripts; a recent photo; two academic references; brief responses on teaching and the fellowship; and a signed declaration of intent to teach.

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute fellowship supports graduate students preparing for careers in higher education teaching.
