Rhodes Scholarship

For outstanding UBC candidates seeking institutional certification to apply for a Rhodes Scholarship for Canada, for study at the University of Oxford. The scholarship covers approved fees and living expenses for two years in a second bachelor's or graduate degree. Eleven Canadians are selected each year.

To request UBC institutional certification, submit an online application with a personal statement, academic statement of study, and CV. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed; only successful interviewees receive certification to apply to a Rhodes Regional Committee in Canada. The Rhodes Scholarships were established in 1902 to promote international understanding and public service.
