Rev. Dr. Bernard J. O’Connor Scholarship

Open to UBC Vancouver graduate students in the second or subsequent year of study whose thesis or research focuses on monetary history, banking history, numismatics, or related areas such as coin and medal iconography, collections and collecting, or Aboriginal practices of exchange.

Scholarships are offered by the J.D. Ferguson Historical Research Foundation in honour of Fr. Bernie O'Connor, a lifelong collector who specialized in the specie of pre-Confederation Canada.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
