Renewable Thunderbird International Varsity Award

Outstanding international student-athletes entering UBC Vancouver undergraduate programs who demonstrate exceptional athletic and academic achievement plus extracurricular and community involvement may be considered.

Renewable awards of varying amounts may cover up to the full cost of tuition and fees for up to five years (first year plus four additional years) or until the first undergraduate degree is completed, whichever is shorter, provided the student maintains scholarship standing and international student status in Canada. Recipients must also meet athletic governing body or Athletics and Recreation requirements. Prospective recipients are nominated by the head coach of the relevant sport, with final decisions made by a review committee. There is no separate application.
