About this scholarship
High school juniors and seniors nationwide may enter the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty (BJC) Religious Liberty Essay Scholarship Contest. There are no GPA, faith, or extracurricular requirements.
Grand prizes are $2,000 each for the winning essay and the winning TikTok-style video; runners-up in each category receive $500 (four awards total). Submit one original 800-1,200 word essay or one original short TikTok-style video on the year's church-state prompt, not both.
Entries are judged on depth, mastery of the topic, and skill of presentation. Students with a Google Account can use the Google Form; others may request a fillable PDF.
