Ray Michal and Mary Phillips Award in Theatre

For Bachelor of Fine Arts students studying theatre at UBC Vancouver who have shown aptitude and dedication, including interest in theatre directing or behind-the-scenes achievement through academic work, student leadership, and community service.

Awards totalling $1,200 are available annually. Recipients are selected on recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film.

There is no separate student application. The fund was established through a gift from friends, family, and the arts community in memory of Ray Michal and Mary Phillips, Vancouver theatre figures who gave many artists early opportunities in the arts.
