About this scholarship
Canadian citizens or permanent residents aged 17 to 29 who are living with a diagnosed or suspected rare disease and are enrolled in, or have applied to, a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution. Proof of diagnosis is not required at application but is requested if selected.
Awards are up to $5,000 for full-time students and up to $2,500 for part-time students. At least 15 awards are available. Applicants submit a personal statement (maximum 750 words in English or 850 in French), proof of enrollment or application, and one reference. Apply through the Canadian Rare Disease Network scholarship portal.
