Rajan Family Award in Computer Science

For outstanding full-time undergraduate students in the Computer Science program at UBC Vancouver who have demonstrated outstanding community service, with preference for female candidates.

Awards totalling $2,950 are made available through an endowment established by the Shiraz Rajan Family; individual award amounts vary.

Made on the recommendation of the Department of Computer Science; no separate application.

The Shiraz Rajan Family came to Canada in 1973 from East Africa. Three of the Rajan children attended university in British Columbia, and the family established this endowment to give back to UBC and the Canadian community.
