About this scholarship

Hawaii residents with at least a 3.0 GPA who are juniors or seniors at an accredited college or university and accepted into a hotel management program may apply for the R.W. "Bob" Holden Scholarship through the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association and Hawaii Hotel Industry Foundation.

One $2,000 award is available and is renewable if the recipient maintains at least a 3.0 GPA. Selection considers citizenship and leadership shown through activities and college performance.

Submit the application with a transcript, a recommendation from a professor, counselor, or dean, and a personal statement of up to 500 words on the assigned topic.

  • Renewal requires maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA.
