Created in 2008 by Allan L. Beattie to honour his late father, Robert Leslie Beattie, who rose from an INCO warehouse clerk in Copper Cliff to vice-president and director, served in the First World War, and left a lasting Sudbury legacy including a public school and Legion branch named for him.
