About this scholarship

PSAC members in good standing as of March 31, 2026 who will be registered in full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in fall 2026. Prior winners of a PSAC scholarship through this program are not eligible again. Not limited to first-year students.

Three National Member Scholarships for full-time studies of $2,000 each.

Apply online by June 22, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. ET with a 750 to 850-word essay or an original creative submission (video, infographic, song, or similar, max five minutes) answering the 2026 scholarship questions. Cite sources and acknowledge any AI assistance.

  • A 750- to 850-word essay with cited sources, or an original creative submission of no more than five minutes.
  • Proof of post-secondary registration and SIN if selected as a finalist.
  • Essay must be 750 to 850 words (Option 1); references do not count toward the word count

  • All applicants must cite the sources they consulted; failure to cite references leads to an unsuccessful application; plagiarism leads to disqualification
  • AI tools permitted only as a learning aid for revising/editing; initial draft must be entirely the applicant's original work; any AI-introduced ideas/content must be cited as AI-generated
  • Application must be completed via the online form (https://psacunion.ca/2026-scholarship-form); not accepted by email/fax/print unless applicant cannot use the portal
  • Applicant must be a PSAC member in good standing as of March 31, 2026 (National Member Scholarship; full-time or part-time studies streams)
  • Requires applicant's (or parent's) PSAC ID number and component/local; finalists must provide proof of post-secondary registration and SIN
  • Deadline: June 22, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. ET
  • Apply through the online form; email, fax, and print applications are not accepted unless the applicant cannot use the portal.
