Professor Jack Young Scholarship

Second- or third-year Laurentian University Engineering students who are first-generation university students from Northern Ontario with a minimum B+ cumulative GPA in Engineering may apply. Recipients cannot hold other scholarships, bursaries, or OSAP support exceeding $1,000 combined. If no eligible Engineering student applies, the award is deferred to the following year.

The scholarship value varies. A Laurentian application is required.

This award honours Jack Young (1939 to 2017), a first-generation student who became an Engineering professor and land surveyor and mentored many Laurentian students.
