Port to Promise Scholarship

High school students in their final year or recent graduates (within the past 12 months) from immigrant backgrounds who plan to enroll in a recognized four-year college or university may apply for the Port to Promise Scholarship.

Ten recipients each receive $2,000, plus mentorship and community support.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic effort or persistence, and leadership, service, or community involvement. Complete the application with thoughtful responses on academic goals and background. The Lakhani Family Foundation founded the program in Skokie, Illinois to support immigrant students facing financial barriers to higher education.
